Global Citizen

After many years of traveling the world in business, with family and with friends some destinations have inspired me more than others. Sweden being the country I was raised and brought up in it has naturally become the foundation of who I am today. Even if all of them added value to my life making me the international citizen I am today. Some fundamentally changed my core values and outlook on life.

Nevertheless, just like learning I am still traveling and with an enriching curiosity to learn from new skilled people, interesting places and new experiences. In order to understand sales, marketing and business culture you have to constantly expand your horizons.

Sweden

For 30 years it was my home base both for work and play. Being an active person I have traveled from north to south more than once. As Sweden is such a tall yet narrow country the climate and lifestyle varies a lot depending on where you live. This is also one of the reasons for the vast variety of activities you can engage in. Among my favorites you can find hiking, skiing, snowboarding, riding in-lines and martial arts just to name a few.

With this kind of energy you need some city pulse and growing up in the capital, Stockholm, working in the F&B industry there was plenty. So if you would like ideas regarding where to dance, dine and go clubbing just ask.

Switzerland

Much like Sweden, Switzerland has also played a major part in my life. This is also the country that got me to leave Sweden for the first time at least for a longer period of time in which I met many of my present friends, laid the foundation for my international network and got my master degree in hospitality management. 2 years high up in the mountains with 96 nationalities, hanging out with future hospitality leaders made me learn about, as well as practice the understanding of culture in a deep and profound level – every hour of the day. This is an experience that literally opened a whole new world.

Thailand

If Switzerland opened my eyes and connected the dots, Asia and Thailand in particular showed the enormous potential and the amazing culture differences first hand. Moving straight in to the heart of Bangkok after the “calm” life in Switzerland was a huge change yet one of the best choices I have made both in my personal life and for my business network. This life changing event and the love for the Thai culture and people have made me return many times since I moved back to Sweden and Stockholm.
