Implementing and Scaling a Cost-Effective Web Platform (AEM)

.

Situation

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) was facing significant challenges with an outdated, inefficient, and costly website platform that lacked scalability and could not meet evolving customer expectations.

A new cost-effective, scalable, and user-friendly CMS solution was required to enhance digital presence, content management efficiency, and overall customer experience. As a digital lead, my role was to identify, implement, and scale a new Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform across multiple markets.

Behavior

To address this, I led the implementation and scaling of the new AEM web platform:
  • Executed the initial pilot project to test the feasibility and efficiency of AEM before global rollout.
  • Integrated the platform with existing systems and analytics tools to ensure a seamless digital infrastructure.
  • Optimized content management workflows, centralizing content creation while ensuring local market flexibility for greater efficiency and consistency.
  • Developed and delivered training programs to equip global teams with the knowledge and tools needed for smooth adoption and effective platform utilization.

Result

  • Increased Efficiency & Digital Performance: The new AEM platform enhanced website speed, scalability, and overall user experience, making content management more efficient.
  • Significant Cost Reduction: By implementing a more cost-effective and scalable system, BMS reduced maintenance costs and optimized resource allocation.
  • Enhanced Customer Experience & Engagement: The improved responsiveness and usability of the new website platform boosted customer interactions, increasing engagement and conversion rates.
